Community art project for Stainton Village Hall: Call for expressions of interest (January 2021)

We are looking for a local artist with experience of working with community groups, including children, to design and produce an artwork for our Village Hall. We would like the artwork to reflect the local area seen through the eyes of local people such as activities, buildings, the natural environment and people. The finished work should be of a professional standard that can be enjoyed by visitors to our hall for many years.

We have an agreed small grant from Cumbria Community Foundation towards the project, to which we would need to find additional funding if required.

Please submit expressions of interest including an idea of costs to Secretary, Stainton Village Hall CIO, Stainton, Penrith, CA11 0EP or by email to by the 28th February 2021.
If you would like to discuss further before responding, please email with contact details.

Hall reopening (September 2020)

In line with government guidance the village hall reopened in September 2nd.  We will need to strictly abide to whatever Government guidance is in place at any time including social distancing rules. This means initially it is only be possible to use the Hall for limited numbers of people and purposes.

In the meantime we will also continue to run our Virtual Village Hall in ZOOM, including our regular events on Friday evenings.

All enquiries about the Stainton village hall should be emailed to us at  or submitted via the contact form on this website.
