Wildflower Hay Meadows Talk **SOLD OUT**

Monday 26th January, 16:15-17:45

Join Shannon Horrocks, Cumbria Wildlife Trust’s grassland conservation officer, and Candida Hodgson, a local Glendridding farmer, for an illustrated talk on hay meadows past, present and future. From restoration works to grazing regimes, all aspects of meadow management will be covered.

Free entry. Refreshments provided.

Booking is essential – book your tickets.

This talk is being delivered with funding from the Farming in Protected Landscapes (FiPL) programme in the Lake District National Park.


Community Cinema – It’s Cinema, but Social

Friday 6th February, doors open 19.00, showing starts at 19.30

Our February movie is Mr Holmes (cert PG), where Ian McKellen with a fascinating interpretation of the famous character.

Doors open 7pm, showings start at 7.30pm. Tea, coffee and ice cream served in the interval. You’re welcome to bring your own wine or other drinks and The Kings Arms can provide take away food if ordered in advance.

Cumbria Clothing Collective Talk and Clothes Swap (Sustainable Stainton)

A Talk by Gail Gravett – From Cumbria Clothing Collective.

Gail will speak about ways to reduce Cumbria’s clothing waste.

After her talk their will be an opportunity to take part in an adult only clothes swap of items you no longer need. You are invited to bring a maximum of 3 items that are clean and in good condition for the clothes swap.

Hedgehogs and Garden Wildlife
