Stainton Farmers’ Market and Café

Our monthly Community Farmers’ Market, Craft Fair and Café is held on the third Saturday of the month from 9.30am to 12.30pm, offering a wide range of local produce, crafts which are predominantly made in the village, and a chance to catch up with friends and neighbours over a cuppa and a slice of cake.

The next market is on Saturday 16th October 2021, 9.30am-12.30pm.

Further dates for 2021 are 20th November and 18th December.

Covid-19 update

During the pandemic we have endeavoured to keep the market going on a smaller scale outdoors, ensuring a supply of local produce to the village. We hope to start using the hall again from September 2021, initially for the café and craft stalls.

Café

Our pop up café is open on market days from 9.30am until 12.30pm. It is a chance to stop a while, relax with a paper or catch up with friends. We offer a wide selection of home-baked cakes and other treats, catering for gluten free, dairy free and low carb diets, all of which can be enjoyed with a selection of speciality fair trade teas, coffees, hot chocolate and cold drinks.

Food bank collections

Every Farmers’ Market we collect for the Salvation Army Food Bank. All contributions of dry goods and toiletries are gratefully received.

The market and pop up café are run by members of the Village Hall Committee and volunteers. If you are interested in having a stall, lending a hand, or would like any further information about the market or café, please email staintonfarmersmarket@gmail.com
